I am the Co-founder and CTO of Kara Technologies (kara.tech). Since December 2017, I have led the design and delivery of our AI-powered Sign Language translation platform, converting written or spoken language into animated Sign Language via digital avatars in real-time.

My role spans end-to-end technical ownership across NLP, translation frameworks, runtime animation systems, human-computer interfaces, and cloud APIs. Our production system delivers approximately 10-second translation latency, around 75% understandability on general translation tasks, and near 100% correctness in critical domains such as public emergency messaging.

I build and lead multidisciplinary teams across AI/ML, software engineering, graphics, linguistics, and infrastructure. I also lead enterprise technical discovery and delivery, contributing to over $1M in signed contracts and projects delivered or in progress.

Beyond product delivery, I lead security and compliance workstreams including ISO 27001 certification and SOC 2 readiness, and I drive IP strategy including a granted patent in the US, UK, and Australia for animated sign language sentence generation.

I own technical, engineering, and project delivery budgets, and have supported technology diligence and planning across four capital raises.

I completed a Master of Science in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) at Georgia Institute of Technology (2023-2025), and previously earned a Bachelor of Engineering & Commerce Conjoint at the University of Auckland (2014-2018), graduating with First Class Honors in Computer Systems Engineering and majors in Finance and Management.
